Durwin Talon has been an illustrator, graphic designer, art director and educator. Associate Professor Talon currently teaches Video Game Development, Sequential Art and Visual Communication classes for the New Media Program in the School of Informatics for Indiana University, IUPUI. He has researched, developed and taught technology classes that emphasize visual communication, storytelling, technique and computer skills and has been awarded an SBC Fellowship for his research. He has written books on the subject of Sequential Art (Panel Discussions and Comics Above Ground), and his electronic illustrations have been featured in covers, gallery exhibitions and advertising. He currently serves as chair of Interface Symposium and VisionFest Student Animation Competition.
